Seminar held at The Ojai Retreat, 160 Besant Road, Ojai

In a world of increasing population and decreasing resources, pollution of the air, water and land cannot be an accepted practice. This seminar will introduce the Zero Waste approach to resource management, present the drivers for this new approach, and cover the analytical methodology toward managing world resources. The upstream prevention and downstream recovery solutions that prevent waste and provide the opportunity to create green jobs will be discussed. The economic and environmental impacts of burning and burying, and the resulting costs, will be compared to source separation, composting and recycling approaches. Clean production, product redesign, composting and recycling are the earth-friendly systems for resource management.
