October 6 Salon: Wildlife

“Traditionally a salon is a gathering of people under the roof of an inspiring host, held partly to amuse one another and partly to refine the taste and increase the knowledge of the participants through conversation.”
AT THE COALITION WE MEET TO INSPIRE AND BE ENRICHED BY THE STORIES AND INSIGHTS WE SHARE ON A THEME.

We meet the 1st Thursday of every other month at the Coalition Resource Center – 206 N. Signal St., Suite S, in downtown Ojai (upstairs on the Aliso/Signal St. corner).

October theme: Wildlife
Thursday, October 6 – 7 to 9 p.m.

WP_20160828_12_02_46_Moutain%20Lion%201.jpgWildlife is all around us! The Ojai Valley is home to many species like deer, foxes, black bears, mountain lions, coyotes, bobcats, and a myriad of bird species, including the endangered California Condor!

Have you encountered any of these wild animals? Is there one you feel especially close to? Do you have a picture, a story or a song you want to share about local wildlife?

Special guest Jim Hines, Sierra Club Los Padres Chapter, will host our October Salon, a welcoming, positive place to express your personal connection to our precious and beautiful wildlife. Please join us.

A donation and beverage to share are appreciated, though not required.
Doors open at 6:45 and Salon begins promptly at 7 p.m.
Please note that seating is limited.

The OVGC Resource Center, located at 206 N. Signal St. Suite S in downtown Ojai, offers an excellent collection of books and films for visitors to our library.
