Tuesday, July 12 come to the Ojai City Council Meeting and share, from your perspective, the value the Coalition brings to the community. We have asked the City of Ojai to fund us again for $50,000. Councilmembers need to hear from you (especially if you live in the city limits) what we do to enhance both your life and the community's. The City 2016-2017 budget will be discussed under public hearings item #3. Council meetings are held at City Hall and begin at 7 p.m.
Monday, July 18 participate in a workshop for the General Plan update being held by the County of Ventura, Planning Division. Discussion will include what we like about the County, current issues and challenges, and potential options for addressing those challenges through the General Plan. The meeting is being held 7 to 9 p.m. at the Oak View Community Center - 18 Valley Road. Spanish translation will be available.
The General Plan is the "blueprint" for future growth and development within the unincorporated areas of Ventura County over the next 20 years. It will address a wide range of issues including land use, transportation, water, agriculture, economic development, and climate change. Learn more at vc2040.org.
