The Ojai Valley Green Coalition will show the film ‘Air’ on November 15 at the Ojai Theatre. The film was produced by the US EPA and the Ventura County Air Pollution District, among others. It presents the biography of air, current issues and solutions to problems in a 41-minute high definition format. It includes state-of-the-art film techniques that blend animation with footage of atmospheric phenomena and live-action re-creations. The program flyer is HERE
The film provides viewers with the story of air – its personality, lifestyle changes, struggle for identity, and endurance as the “roof” surrounding our planet. It tells what other countries, communities and technology are doing for air quality and global climate change. The film also inspires viewers with the message that they have the power to affect the air quality in their communities.
The Grand Premier of Air was held on Sept. 24 to invited dignitaries at the Ojai Theatre. It has since been shown to national air directors at their conference in Tempe, Arizona so that it could be distributed nationally. It was also shown at the Association of Commuter Transportation Regional Conference.
The film will be shown at 4:30 pm at the Ojai Theatre on the corner of Ojai Ave and Signal St., on Saturday, November 15. There is a $5 suggested donation.
